Presented in a beautiful, 16 page tabloid sized newspaper, Notes From The Penumbra is a collection of dream notations - recorded/notated at the exact moment of waking, in the tumble of a sensory relocation. These notes are captured as they were experienced, raw, unaltered and against any sense of rational order or understanding. The reflections here are intended to preserve the spaces we fall through as we leave one place for another - the vast and minute landscape of uncertainty and catastrophic feeling, bereft of reason and structure.

Notes from The Creators
Notes from the Penumbra documents the frontiers of dream experience and dream interpretation which spills over to the collaboration between writer and artist. The artwork is a collage mix of 70s Czech magazines on canvas and acrylic painting. There are layers upon layers in these pieces, like the dreams themselves, we often only catch snippets, and there’s complexity in our thoughts and subconscious mind. The artwork in this zine captures those multi-layered emotions.
